Membership Eligibilty

Established in 1958, the Northern India Textile Mills Association (NITMA) is a premier organization dedicated to empowering textile businesses of all sizes. We are the voice of the Indian textile industry, advocating for your interests and providing the resources you need to succeed.

Who Can Apply?

NITMA membership is open to the following entities:

  • Textile Mills: Spinning, weaving, processing, knitting, and garmenting units.
  • Textile Machinery Manufacturers: Companies involved in manufacturing and supplying textile machinery.

Eligibility for Regular Membership

To be eligible for regular membership, a company must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum Sales Turnover: The company must have a sales turnover (net of excise & other trading activities) of at least Rs. 5 crore annually.
  • Business Activities: The company must be actively engaged in the production, processing, or trading of textiles or textile machinery.
  • Commitment to Industry: The company should demonstrate a commitment to the development and growth of the Indian textile industry.

Eligibility for Associate Membership

Associate membership is available for entities that support the textile industry but may not directly manufacture or trade textiles. This could include:

  • Banks and financial institutions catering to the textile sector.
  • Insurance companies offering textile-specific insurance products.
  • Consulting firms specializing in the textile industry.
  • Research institutions focused on textile technology and development.
